Unity Sand Ceremony

I got a message from my cousin earlier who will be tying the knot on January 2013. She’s busy planning and preparing for her upcoming ‘The Day’. I know the feeling – the excitement and the worries. In the end, I know she’ll be happy simply by knowing that she married the man that he loves. Having the perfect wedding ceremony is, well, an icing on the cake.

She told me that she’d drop by our house to take a look on our wedding pictures. Below is one of my favorites.

A bride is always beautiful on her wedding day :)

That is the part where in my hubby and I would lit our unity candle. But I guess I’d recommend my cousin to have the unity sand ceremony instead. It is quite unique here in our country, and the way the sand combine would really symbolize two bodies becoming one in marriage.  Agree?

Symbol of Unity
