My Green Chevy Spark Dream

Oh well, I am feeling a sort of uncomfortable feeling knowing that I have to let a blogger event pass by me because of my day job. But I have to make all these sacrifices because I need to, I have to. Like what I had posted in my Facebook status, "In everything, I thank You Lord!"

Anyhow, thanks to my blogger friend, Clarrise, for copying me the Press Release of the said event; hence, this post. Thanks much Clarisse!

Facebook, indeed, invaded all walks of life that almost every company, organization, blog (present!), among others have their own Fan Pages. Why not? With FB's user-base, you can really reach out to your customers or intended users from all over the world for FREE! With this, Chevrolet took advantage of the Fan Page to promote their business and squeez in a twist for a little excitement. This twist that I am telling is the Spark Virtual Carpool Club FB application.

Basically, all you need to do is to "Like" Chevrolet Philippines Fan Page and register to the Spark Virtual Carpool Club which I have just done a while ago.

Following this, you will be on a carpool and you need to get four (4) passengers to get you a ticket for their raffle in which you could be entitled to win one of the five (5) Apple iPads to be given away. To view the full mechanics, click here.

So what's the fuss about this Chevy Spark and why did Chevrolet Philippines is having this virtual carpool club thingy? From their press release, and let me quote:

Chevrolet recently introduced its two new, sleek and spacious Spark variants—the 1.0L 4-speed automatic and 5-speed manual transmission models. With the same stylish look and edgy appeal of the initial 1.2 MT model, the Spark mini passenger car helps you save on fuel while driving in style.

Based on a third party agency test, the Spark was able to reach a maximum of 22km/L fuel consumption rate for the 1.2 and 1.0 manual variants, while the 1.0 automatic was able to reach a 19km/L performance.

The Chevrolet Spark 1.2 LT model comes with standard roof rails that provide additional cargo capability and rear spoiler for that hip, sporty look.

“For a ride that’s hip, convenient and easy to maintain, the Chevrolet Spark lets you confidently command the road with its astounding fusion of functionality and modern design. Without crimping on safety and engine features, Chevrolet delivers a mini passenger car that is trendy to drive and economical to own,” Buena said.

Hmmmm, I guess I now have a change of heart. Instead of having My Honda CR-V Dream, I guess it is now fitting to say, "My Green Chevy Spark Dream."

Okay, if I can't get that Green Chevy Spark, I hope to at least win one of the Apple iPads to be given away by Chevrolet Philippines in their Chevy Spark Virtual Carpool Club. *wink*
