Did you feel the earthquake yesterday? I do. At first, I thought someone was just playing around my table shaking it. But as my officemate stand up, panic, and blurted that there is an earthquake, I realized that the shaking is an act of God. With that, as instinct, everyone from the company get out of the building until such time that we felt it is already secure to get inside. But beyond the luck that there is neither harm nor tremendous damage brought by that quake, did you think something on “What Can We Do?”
I believe institutions, private, government, and even non-government organizations were all doing something to make everyone aware of what could have been an ‘Inconvenient Truth’. As for me, in my own little way, I can be proud to say that I am doing something for our Earth. In fact, we would be participating in the Earth Hour that will commence tomorrow night. How about you?
Well, I am glad that there were companies that had looked into this matter seriously, like http://www.nviro.com. I had read a few things about them and really looked up to them for their advocacy. Although, of course, they aimed at earning from what they were developing; still, part of their earning process includes a good idea that most of us don’t even know exists.
Basically, they had patented processes in using lime and/or mineral-rich, combustion byproducts to treat, pasteurize, immobilize and convert wastewater sludge and other bio-organic wastes into biomineral agricultural and soil-enrichment products with real market value.
For further information, you can browse their site and read their FAQ page. What matter to me at the moment is their answer to the question, “Is NVS going to cause water pollution from heavy metals?” The answer is an absolute NO.
See, it is nice to know that despite the desire to earn, the company also put great value to Earth. How about us? What Can We Do?

Enron cons where involved with creating global Carbon tax...research is in order.
Take care all, do your duty to our country, and question it, if it falls of course.
Hey Minnie, hardly felt the earthquake but I got a little worried that it's happening here too. Good thing we are all safe. :)
Our lights were all off during Earth Hour, we were asleep by that time na.
Btw, I got something for you over in my blog. Hope you had a great weekend. :)
For Earth Hour I always spend it in prayer, sending positive thoughts to all people everywhere, sending love which I hope is felt across the universe.

I didn't felt the earthquake. Actually, my sister just texted me about it. This is a great topic to read. I am willing to know what to do or help about it. Thanks for sharing. ;D

No earthquake where I was at that time. I kind of like those minor tremors, it's like a ride but with everyone in it. Pretty cool, huh?
