I am Feeling It

Last Sunday was a long day for me. After running at the Century Superbods Run, we come home to attend the Sunday Service at my angel's place. We shared lunch afterwards.

In the afternoon, we traveled back to my place. We tried to fix his laptop. After a few tweaking, we decided to have it restored to its factory default. I lend him my external harddrive to backup his files. While waiting for the backup to be completed, we inhale cool air outside. I rested in our hammock and he played with Stephanie.

Before the sunset, we check on his laptop. The backup process is still incomplete, so I just turned on the TV to watch PBA. It was Game 6 of the Best-of-7 Semi Finals Series between Purefoods TJ Giants (PF) and San Miguel Beermen (SMB) where PF leads the series 3-2.

While watching, my angel murmured, "Sana naman manalo na ang Purefoods. (I hope PF will win.)" They have been missing the Finals Series for a long time now. And so I giggled. I told him that probably, he could not sleep at the end of the day if PF loses. First, his flash drive resulted into an unrecoverable media; second, his laptop cannot connect to the internet; and lastly, PF loses the game. But of course, those were just jokes. I give him the spirit that PF will surely win this game.

And so we attentively watched the game. We were seeing a dejavu. PF is on the driver seat at the end of the first half. My angel told me that if PF leads as much as 22 points, SMB will get back on the 3rd quarter, and eventually PF will win the game (that is exactly what happened last game).

In the last 2 minutes of the game, PFs' lead was as much as 10 points. With that, my angel is celebrating that early. I told him to stop, he is just bringing much butterfly in my stomach. I fear that the 3 point attempts of Cortez will mark a gigantic SMB comeback. But at the back of my head, I say "NO". SMB is not PF to have that great comeback, LOL!

Less than 1 minute remaining, I am already feeling the victory. SMB resorted to giving fouls to send PF to the free throw line. However, they were desperate to throw a 3 point basket when in fact they could just settle for a quick 2. The result, PFs' lead ballooned and ended the game 87-78.

Funny thing though, in the last 10 seconds of the game, my angel and I were smelling the victory and cannot contain our excitement to see PF battle with Alaska Aces in the Finals. With that, we were asking Stephanie to shake hands with us and congratulate us for the win. I even pressed Stephanie's arms and asked here, "Steph, nararamdaman mo ba 'yun? (Steph, did you feel it?)". And so I also speak out, "Steph, nararamdaman ko na. (Steph, I am feeling it)".

YES! Finally, Purefoods is out for the Finals. And I am just so excited that I wanted to be there live this coming Wednesday. BUT, I'm 100% sure that it would be dead hard to buy tickets in the reserved seating section. So most probably, I will just content myself watching at home.

Before I ended this post, let me congratulate the ever-brave point guard of one of the best defensive teams of the PBA, Roger Yap.

He ended the game with a double-double [20 points, 11 rebounds].

Well, my angel left home victorious. PF won and we were able to fix his laptop.
