The Perks of Being a Blogger

I already bid Facebook Goodbye. I am no longer into Twitter. I am more interested now in running, LOL! But, I will never ever commit blogicide. Aside from earning money online, I got to enjoy The Perks of Being a Blogger.

Foremost, I got to gain so much blogger friends. Friends who knew the value of give and take. And since blogs, most of the time, are online journals/diaries of one's life, I got to know them more -- more than that of my offline friends.

Second, I got the chance to join blogger-initiated contests -- and get the chance to win. I already won two of these contests. Unfortunately, I failed to post them here. So I guess, I will now post them here for acknowledgment and gratitude as well.

SM Cinema Tickets from Jules.

I won 2 SM Cinema Tickets (worth PhP 200) from Soloden's Raffle Contest. With that, I was able to have a second Girls Day Out, by watching Transformers: The Revenge of the Fallen. Thanks Jules, and sorry for the very late post.

Limited Edition Ako Mismo Dog Tag from shulace.

I also won a limited edition Ako Mismo Dog Tag from PoshPinay worth PhP 400. With deepest gratitude shulace.

Finally, the most exciting part of being a blogger, having to participate in blogger events. I had failed to join the emerging influential bloggers meet since it is my bestfriend's bridal shower. But yesterday, I was able to attend my very first blogger event at SM Marilao Foodcourt. The event aimed at encouraging bloggers and internet addicts on spending their internet hours at the foodcourt with their FREE WiFi access courtesy of SmartBro. Yes, SM Marilao Foodcourt is now a Free WiFi zone. There were only 10 of us. But the event is real great. Of course, I'm with my angel, hee hee. Eventhough I don't win the Asus Notebook from the raffle, the experience was still worth it. We got food tasting while enjoying the Free WiFi. And here's our pictures of yesterday's event.

Being a blogger is really rewarding.

Wrench-Shaped Earrings

I’m not into jewelry. I’m more comfortable being jewelry-naked. All I got is my pair of earrings given to me by my father when I was still about 4 years young. Ever since, I have not replaced them, just once. Unlike my sister, she finds fulfillment in buying earrings, necklace, bracelets, and watches.

When I was still working at the provincial government, fancy earrings are at its peak. The dangling ones, I must say. But still, those were a NO-NO for me. I still stick with my personality, simple and unique. On the other hand, I am fascinated with shoe-shaped earrings I found, together with my office buddies, at the mall. Hence, the next thing I know, we bought the earrings and wear them at work. That would be the first time I had removed my first earrings from my ears.

Actually, there are a lot of jewelry types that looks fascinating and adorable. I have to say that I am captivated by those fashionable jewelries. And maybe, because my angel had bought me a bracelet from China, I became a little interested with them. I cannot leave home without my bracelet on. I remember I had bought a butterfly-shaped necklace from Tagaytay during the Holy Week. But I got to wear them only for around 5 times, I think.

One thing that am still in search, as of now, is the wrench-shaped earrings I seen from a TV commercial. I find it unique, and I really wanted to have one. Whenever I would stop by a jewelry store, I would always look for those wrench-shaped earrings that I always wanted. But, I always fail.

Now that I am adept to e-commerce, I tried finding one from Tiffany signature collection. Tiffany had been a well-known jeweler; I will always hear it whenever the topic is on jewels. They are now on sale with their 2009 Summer Silver Collection. Searching for the wrench-shaped earrings, I am still a loser. I really can’t find one. Probably I just have to it custom-made. Nonetheless, I can probably redirect my attention to these pair.

Lovely isn’t it?

Something New

Tatakbo Ka Ba? I AM. That's why I had my practice jogging last week. And to complete my preparation, I bought Something New.

Yeah, I bought a new pair of Addidas Running Shoes yesterday at Trinoma. I don't have any running shoes, I only got a casual one, my Merrel. And since my shoes is already waving goodbye, I decided to buy a new one.

I actually wanted to purchase the black and blue shoes from Nike, but my angel told me that it is not a running shoes. However, I can't make a choice from the available running shoes there because I prefer one that I can also wear with my jeans. Thus, we head on our way to Addidas and find the shoes that I wanted. And I'm wearing it right now :D

Blurry Eyes

Hate those blurry eyes? I do. Most of the time, after hours of working with my computer, I got a little dizzy due to my eyes. I am already advised to wear eyeglasses. Good thing, in the article “How Can You Start Spending Smart” by CBN News, they had interviewed someone who had bought $ 8 Rx eyeglasses. Wherein, his former eyeglasses cost him $300. Imagine the savings that he could have if he already knew about that online shop. I did browse over the online shop. My favorite high fashion eyeglasses would be the following:

It would be great to mix and match those glasses with my outfit.

I Have a Headache!

I almost take a leave from office today. Last night, I suffered from a severe headache. I had asked my mother to put an ointment in my forehead to reduce the pain. It kinda worked. But, I was awaken in the middle of the night, 3AM to be exact, just because of this headache. I can't move a bit, for moving would mean pain in my head.

I also woke up around 5 or 6 in the morning, but I still can't get up from my bed. It still hurts so bad. At past 7AM, I got the courage to ignore the pain and prepare myself for work. Good that it has pacified. But I got to vomit while I was brushing my teeth. Nah, I'm not pregnant if that's what you're thinking. I believed that this is caused by my hate day of the month.

Now, I am still feeling a bit of pain. But not like last night. Good that I still have the strength not to leave from work. Thanks be to God!

Yes, that's me in the picture. LOL! My classmate from elementary used to tease me as Bulldog. I guess you already knew why. Care to guess? :P

On Medical Science

I am a computer engineer. But, on my test during my high school, I am inclined on being a civil engineer (my brother is) or a doctor. I guess the result is contributed to my inclination in Math and Science. I remember my teachers would have to ask me to choose between Math and Science for the BULPRISA. If only I could compete for both, they’ll surely let me. Well, aside from being a Math wiz, I also love Science.

Science is the body of knowledge gathered over a long period of time to explain the world we live in. That is the basic definition of Science that I had memorized for 10 years? Glad I could still recall. Anyhow, just like Computer, Science had been evolving for ages now. From every field, new inventions and discoveries had been made. And I guess the most interesting yet crucial field is in medical science.

As the inventions had made human life more comfortable, yet complicated, it is accompanied by the onset of different types of disease (So, I cannot firmly say that Technology is a boon, nor it was a bane). It follows, that the cure and prevention of such illness will be developed through extensive study and research. And I have to thank these scientists, researchers, and doctors for saving lives through their discoveries.

One interesting breakthrough in medical science is the Stem Cells. From my online readings, I had learned some information about stem cell research. Stem cells therapy had believed to have a potential in changing the treatment of human disease that includes cancer, Parkinson’s diseases, spinal cord injuries, and several others. I had also known that bone marrow transplant is a stem cell therapy that is used to treat leukemia. I wonder if that kind of therapy had been used for the late Master Rapper.

Even US President Barack Obama contributed in this rising medical research by enacting new rules governing stem cell study. It was mentioned in the recent articles about stem cells from Reuters. Likewise, I am supporting the medical research. My angel had suffered from slip disk a year ago (Thank God that he had recovered by mere self-therapy and God’s grace.). I firmly believe that with stem cells research, therapy for slip disk will be developed to provide hope, life, and LOVE.

Goodbye Facebook

For several months, I have been in the hype of Facebooking. I find it enjoyable interacting with friends (and long lost friends) through comments on status, posts, photos, links, and others. Most of the time, my status will be on the 'current mood' I'm in. At the same sense, I make it a point to have a catchy status to attract friends to posting comments. Numerous quizzes had flooded Facebook. And those do not skip from me. I have taken a lot of quizzes that I find interesting, and sometimes I take those quizzes just to kill boredom. Photos photos photos! I have not taken into account the number of albums I already created in my Facebook. That social media had been my backup, my disaster recovery center, just in case I lost my copies. I would normally leave my desktop open, uploading pictures at Facebook overnight. Yes, I had been a Facebook Addict. Not to mention my addiction to Farm Town and Pet Society. My weekends will be consumed planting crops on my farm and tending the farms of my neighbors; and, playing with my pet and racing with other pets in the society.

BUT, those were the days that had gone by. My account had been inactive for several weeks now. My notifications would rise up to 99. My friends who just recently joined Facebook were all in the hype, but just finding me inactive, just peeking. I don't know what had been the reason of my being lazy toward Facebooking. Probably because, eventhough I find it enjoyable interacting with friends and providing me entertainment, Facebook had also caused me to somewhat become (1) jealous of my friend's friends (Okay, don't want to elaborate); (2) annoyed with those people who added me up just because I appeared in their recommended friends (Eventhough they really don't know me); and (3) irritated with the ill-manners of my ex-friends (ha ha ha, don't want to elaborate either).

This morning, while I'm in the Monday Traffic at NLEX (as usual), I got bored and log-in to my account using Opera Mini on my phone. Still, I find those probable causes of my lazyness. Thus, while on that busy expressway, I decided to quit Facebook. Nah, I won't be deleting my account. I will just continue my inactivity. Will only be posting there for advertising my blog's links and for my pay per click sponsors. And yes, my pictures :D *deep breath* Okay, this is it...

SnapIt Screen Capture

Back in my hometown when I was still working for our Provincial Government, 30-40 percent of my work requires me to produce manuals (From Developers to Users Guides). And I must say, that documentation is one of the most tedious part of my job then. I am more comfortable at programming.

With that load of work, we (together with my colleagues) formulated our own templates and designs to make it a lot easier. But, not all part of this documentation had been made easy. For the users guide, we have to capture every menu, window, and command button so as to make the manual as user-friendly as possible. Besides, we'll still be using it for our help file (by simply converting the word to help file). Therefore, graphical representation is a must.

I can still remember the time we had consumed from capturing the screen (using Print Screen key), pasting the captured image on word, and cropping the pasted image. Not only that, we also have to convert the image into a picture file upon pasting so as not to consume so much of the kilobytes. That is in order to avoid crashing of file (when the file size had gone to a hundred Megabytes).

Well, lucky for those who will be facing such work loads now. There is already an available screen capture software to make that capturing to cropping images with ease. The SnapIt Screen Capture from Digeus 'captures' everything that needs to be done. It had been packaged with the following features:
  • Supports hotkeys, auto-saving, clipboard
  • Automatically copies screenshots to the clipboard
  • Tracks capture history, auto-saves captured images
  • Saves files in BMP, GIF, JPEG, PNG and TIFF formats
  • Auto-names captured images
  • Crops out sections of vector graphic files such as Fireworks, Adobe Illustrator or Corel without having to flatten the files or open in a new editor
  • Irreplaceable tool for Designers, Office Workers, Business People, Analysts and more
  • Perfect for Technical Writers who have to describe interfaces, menus, buttons, etc.
Save yourself from all those tedious cropping and pasting works by having the screen capture software. I tell you, it is worth every cent.

Jogging at Garden of Love

In preparation to the Tatakbo Ka Ba? event on August 30, 2009, me and my cousin agreed to have a practice jogging at Garden of Love (It's a Memorial Park.) here in our place. I am excited of the said event because, not only it is my first time to join such race but, I will be able to hopefully see Chiz Escudero. Well, I asked him if he's going to participate in the event, and here's what he twitted:

Aside from my cousin, I also had the company of my angel (But he's just there to support me, and take pictures, ha ha) and my niece Stephanie. To begin the jogging, Stephanie and I do some stretching and picture taking, LOL! Unfortunately, our digital camera ran out of battery. So, here's the only photos that I got to share.

After a couple of rounds, I asked my angel how many kilometers have I ran already. He answered, probably around 1 kilometer. And I say, what?! I am already running for my breath and I have just ran a kilometer. Oh my, how am I going to finish the 5km run on the 30th? I'll be needing more practice.

I guess I had jogged 5 rounds the block there. It was fun. Of course it was! I am with my angel.

Reality Wedding Video

Exactly a month from now, my bestfriend will be marrying the love of her life. I am so excited for her. They have been together as friends, as bestfriends, as special friends, and now they will end up as husband and wife. Of course I am part of the entourage. However, I failed to help in their wedding preparations. On the other hand, I whole-heartedly accept the task of reaching the invited persons for their RSVPs. Nonetheless, I wanted her wedding to be perfect. And I do hope everything will be captured by their wedding videographer.

Like any other practice, wedding videography had evolved from simplicity to perfection. In the old age, only photos are made as moment souvenirs of weddings. But now, with the boom of technology, videos are being used. And not just that, today it is not only the bride who got the chance to showcase herself in the photos and in the videos the groom also took part of it. Anyway, the event is really for the both of them.

I have no idea on who will be covering my bestfriend’s wedding video. But I do hope that they could be at par with the Reality Wedding Video – the first and the only documentary-reality wedding video producers in the Philippines – and in the world. I have here an embedded display case of their video.

GMA had launched a sort of fun run in relation to the upcoming 2010 election. My officemates will be joining the said run, as they did in the Men's Health and other fun run events. With that, I am encouraged to join as well. If ever we will still be accomodated by the limited slots, this will be going to be my first RUN! And I am excited about it. Further details of the said event can be accessed at http://gmanews.tv/tatakbokaba.

The event will be held at Bonifacio Global City, Taguig on August 30, Sunday at 5:30AM. Hope to see you there :D

Unregister Corrupt Entries

Being a programmer, I sometimes modify files in the registry of my computer. At the same sense, whenever I develop some applications, I have to code something that would modify the registry upon installation or upon execution of the program. And since I am not that 100% genius when it comes to programming, I do commit some mistakes that causes trouble with the computer's operating system. Nonetheless, I am brave enough to take the risk since I know there are available registry cleaner softwares in the world wide web to unregister corrupt files that I had caused, or even those caused by viruses and other add-on applications that I carelessly install in my PC.

One of the award-winning softwares that offers such function is the Digeus Registry Cleaner 5.3 and has the following main features:

  • Safely scans your entire Windows registry for invalid or obsolete information;
  • A simple, user-friendly interface with which you can safely repair invalid entries in your Windows Registry;
  • Allows you to remove invalid entries automatically or manually;
  • Makes your computer work faster by cleaning your Windows registry;
  • Improves your Windows PC's overall performance and stability;
  • Finds Windows Registry keys left over from deleted files or uninstalled applications;
  • Restores / Backups registry;
  • Easy to use, no knowledge of the registry is required.
The use of the said software will enable you to clean your registry that sometimes causes your system to slow down, if not break down. When you've got slower than before booting and had done all the basic PC troubleshooting but nothing did work; probably you simply need to clean your registry.

Save a Little More

I am feeling the need to save a little more than my usual savings. I had increased my savings deposited in my account from PhP1,000 to PhP1,500 every payday. Also, I make sure that I will be as thrift as possible without having to sacrifice my health and pleasure.

Yesterday, I was able to have a free ride from our house to Pulilan Junction courtesy of my brother. Since I get up a little late, I was able to be prepared just on time to hitch with my brother. And that free ride adds up PhP25 in my savings, he he. I would have wanted to blog this yesterday, but I failed to take a picture of us in his car.

However, I got another free ride today. Thus, I never let the chance to pass without taking pictures, hee hee.

Driving out from our compound

It's me peeking Ü

Kunwari hindi ko alam na nagpipicture ako :P

Come to think of it. If I will be able to have that free ride for a month (20 days), I could save up to PhP500 a month. WOW! Ha ha ha..

Probability and Statistics

I have to brag that I am a Math wizard. But if I have to choose a Math topic that I hate the most, it would be Probability and Statistics, although I happened to be a Regional Champion and National Finalist when I was in 1st Year College . Okay, too much of that boasting, he he.

What I really wanted to talk about now is probability and statistics, and how vital is it in playing games such as cards, dice, and the other games played at casinos. Yeah, knowledge of that particular topic really helps. That is what has been showcased in the movie 21. And I find it interesting. I am thinking if I could try it myself.

So first, I have to find a medium where I could try it myself. And since I will feel uncomfortable playing games on a real casino, I might try it online, at the comfort of my couch, hiding myself behind my monitor, ha ha. Remarkably, Casino Vegas offers such comfy. They feature all popular games in Vegas online. These games include blackjack, roulette, and other classic and video slots.

Although these games are really a game of luck, I still believe that knowledge in probability and statistics contribute to that luck right? Having the knowledge of the likely outcome of an event will surely give you an idea to deal or not deal. Wow, I am talking probability now, ha ha. Well I guess there’s nothing wrong trying it out for entertainment.

Of course having these games played in a real world casino will be more fascinating. Finding Casinos in Vegas would be that easy, since it is well-known in terms of such establishments. Here in our country, I only got to know one. I have only been there to watch a sort of stage play. If you are adventurous enough and would love to experience a real life entertainment of such, try searching for Vegas Hotel & Casino so you won’t be adrift. Aside from the probability and statistics, equip yourself with another great weapon, information. Just make sure you don’t get addicted. Just play for fun.

Traffic at NLEX on a Monday

I normally wake up early every Mondays. Aside from the fact that I need not to be late for office, I do not wish to struggle for a bus on that busy Monday.

Today, I got to wake up a little earlier than usual. I woke up at around 4AM (my usual's 4:30AM). Since I don't feel sleepy anymore, eventhough I had slept around 12MN the night before, I get up from my bed and drink my hot chocolate. Then, do the morning routine until I finally set myself to go.

I was lucky that I got to ride on the empty Baliwag Transit bus waiting for passengers this morning. And since I am already feeling sleepy this time, I take a nap. At least I got to rest my eyes.

After about less than an hour, I woke up, and see these vehicles.

I wonder then where I'm at. Only to find out that I am still at North Luzon Expressway (NLEX). Specifically at Malinta. WOW! It's heavy traffic at NLEX on a Monday! The traffic goes a long way until Balintawak Market. I failed to take a photo of the culprit of this traffic, but it is the MRT extension project construction

I am expecting to arrive at the office by 7AM. But because of the not so good start of the day/week, I got to arrive at 7:44AM. Well, at least not late. Ü

Greeting with Warmth

Being in the era of “everything electronic”, sending greetings with warmth is already replaced by animated cards sent via e-mail. However, I still believe that a greeting card sent via snail mail or even handed personally gives more love.

With that, Net Fun Cards provided printable birthday cards to relive the “warmth” in greeting. Just like the animated cards, they offer tons of greeting cards, compiled via categories. These printable cards are already laid out for quick printing; thus, saving you the time of artistically making greeting cards. You simply have to join and have the limitless access to their printable cards like this one.

Lazy Blogger

I checked the date of my last post, and was kinda surprised knowing that it was just 3 days since my last. Feels like it has been weeks since I last shared something with you guys.

Last Tuesday, I'm on sick leave. Well, aside from being lazy, I had a back ache. Probably because of the 8-lb ball I used in our bowling tournament. In my thoughts, I will be able to blog all day. But surprisingly, I just slept all day. Aaahh, sleeping, something that I really missed, ha ha ha. Nevertheless, that leave is a fruitful one. Feels like I regained energy.

Just today, I felt like not going to the office -- again. I just get shy with my angel who is untiringly working for our future. Hence, I was able to convince myself, and made my way to the office. I arrived at 10:29 AM, hee hee. However, I just can't get the inspiration to blog. Well, not until now. My self-convincing powers worked.

On the brighter side, I've got something to be busy about, my first love, programming. That is why I had this status posted on my twitter account:

And I guess that applies to blogging too. So, till I got my inspiration to write again dear blogger friends. For now, I am a self-proclaimed "LAZY BLOGGER".

Nap Mats or Back Packs?

I find it enjoyable bringing home something for my niece. She truly appreciates everything and will surely boast to everyone that it’s your gift to her. Hence, I never really get empty-handed whenever I go home.

As early as now, I am making up my mind on what I should be giving her once she entered school. It won’t be too long before she does. Posy Lane to the rescue! My first option is nap mats, perfect for her age as she enters daycare. Next option would be the Stephen Joseph backpack made from vinyl. Seeing this photo below reminds me of her favorite cartoon, Dora. That is Boots on the backpack right?

But since she got to sweat a little faster, she might find the vinyl a little uncomfortable. I might be picking the Stephen Joseph quilted backpack instead. It is made from 100% cotton, and still has Boots on it. And since these gifts are from Posy Lane, I could make them personalized too.

So, what do you think? Shall I give her nap mats or back packs?

Spoon and Fork

Yesterday, me and my angel went to Capitol Medical Center to visit his office mate who just gave birth to a lovely baby girl. We are just in time for the scheduled viewing of 5-7 in the evening. However, the baby needed to be breastfed first. Thus, we waited for some more minutes. After paying a visit, we head on our way to TriNoMa.

We are indeed hungry at that time, it's passed 8PM. My angel wanted to have a tuna misono; hence, we dined at Tokyo Tokyo at TriNoMa. The one adjacent to Kenny Roger's.

We ordered Tuna Misono, Sumo Red Iced Tea, and Chicken Yakitori (Chicken Barbeque). Suddenly, the crew asked "Ano po drinks n'yo sa Chicken Yakitori?". My angel replied, "Ah, may kasama bang drinks 'yun?". "Wala po", replied the crew. Then, my angel told the crew that we won't order additional drinks since we already had ordered a Sumo Red Iced Tea.

As we sat on one of their tables, probably due to hunger, I told him that the crew is not right about what she just said. We could have mistaken that Chicken Yakitori is a meal with a drink that comes along with it. Her statement is not suggestive. He should have asked if we would like to order drinks for the Chicken Yakitori instead. Anyway, since we have to wait for 15 minutes before our food is served, we decided to eat the chocolate bread we bought from Merced Bakeshop.

The chocolate bread needs to be eaten using utensils; thus, my angel asked for spoon and fork from the crew (who later on we found out to be the manager of the store). The store manager then took a glance at our table (which has the chocolate bread opened) then turn to him and said "Ay sir, isasabay nalang po sa pag-serve". With regret, my angel go back to our table. He uttered that what the manager had done was wrong. I agreed and even told him that he even peeked why we were asking for spoon and fork. I thought there's a corkage when we eat food aside from that bought from their store. A lady crew passed by and we again asked for spoon and fork. She readily gave us a pair. Then, the store manager noticed that we used it for the chocolate bread (which is pretty obvious). He approached us and said, "Ay sir sorry, akala ko sa order n'yo gagamitin". My angel just shooked his head and don't utter any word.

Our food was then delivered at our table. The Sumo Red Iced Tea that we specifically requested to be taken out was given for dine in. So, we returned the glass and have it transferred on a cup instead. The "ill-mannered" store manager did transferred our drink but handed it to us without straw and plastic bag. Tsk tsk tsk. What a service?!

We finished our dinner and go home.

I would have wanted to take a picture of the store manager and have his picture posted here. Or probably I would create another blog for "Beware Persons". I really wanted to take photos of people who do not abide by the law or is simply has sick attitude. Is it legal? 'Coz I really wanted to show to the world their "manners".

Proud To Be A Filipino

The things that transpired yesterday, once more, made me feel proud of being a true-blooded Filipino. As we say "Goodbye Pres. Cory", the whole nation cried and showed their undying love for the mother of democracy. All walks of life exerted effort just to see her coffin as a sign of respect and gratitude for all that she has done for us. Again, I am naive when it comes to politics; but yesterday, my heart had been crying for the death of a woman of great faith.

As I watch the remains of our beloved democracy icon's cortege, I was unable to stop my tears. Most especially as the APO Hiking Society, along with a few more singers, sang the song "Handog ng Pilipino sa Mundo".

On top of that, the crowd that had followed/waited the cortege for nine (9) hours (especially the 4 guards beside Pres. Cory's coffin) really provide an undefinable joy in my heart. It simply shows how loving a Filipino is. And the road was painted yellow.

Just like Pres. Corazon 'Cory' C. Aquino, I am thankful that God made me a Filipino. There's so much to be proud of. Just like the victory of Team Pilipinas of Sri Lanka just now. With a walloping lead 115-31. Tomorrow, they'll be battling up with Japan. With this I hail, "GO Team Pilipinas, Make Your Country Proud!".

Goodbye Pres. Cory

I can't help but cry as I see the mammoth crowd as the remains of the former president Corazon C. Aquino had been transferred from La Salle, Greenhills to Manila Cathedral last August 3, 2009.

I may not know nor fully understand what People Power is all about during the 80's. I'm very young then. It is only now that I get to comprehend why Pres. Cory had been hailed as our democracy icon. She simply ended the dictatorship of the Marcos Regime. For without her, together with all the people who fought for our freedom, I won't be able to blog about my thoughts (especially those against the government). I guess this blog won't have its genesis if the Philippines failed to achieve democracy. Hence, this blog is somewhat one of the million courteous results of the EDSA Revolution. And with that, I am thanking Pres. Corazon C. Aquino for all the things she has done for our country.

Anyhow, I still felt great that I was able to Tie a Yellow Ribbon in this blog before she finally bid goodbye to the Filipinos. I am really determined to have that post. In my mind I told myself, I should participate in that campaign and not regret that I don't if ever she would reunite with her husband anytime soon.

Today, August 5, 2009, her corpse will be buried beside her husband. A peaceful unity. Everything will be marked on history. I do hope that, just like what she has done, we all continue to aspire for UNITY amongst Filipinos. As we say "Goodbye Pres. Cory", let us not bid goodbye to her ideals. Let not her vision for a united Philippines be buried with her.

*deep breath* I am really PROUD TO BE A FILIPINO!

And on the lighter side... today is a HOLIDAY! *hooray*

Bubbles

Last Saturday, Stephanie had been crying. To let her dry her tears, we (my sister and I) called may angel and let Stephanie talk to him. Still crying, Stephanie told my angel to bring her "bubbles". Being 2 years and 9 months young, she had remembered in her mind that my angel will really bring bubbles for her that day. She even asked me on my angel's whereabouts. And since my angel won't be coming that day, I told her that my angel would be bringing her bubbles tomorrow (Sunday, that is).

Yesterday, we (Stephanie and I) fetched my angel at Pulilan Junction. Stephanie is so excited that she even demonstrated that she will be expecting two bubbles from my angel. So as not to disappoint her, we dropped by at Robinson's Pulilan to look for bubbles. We almost lose hope when we found none at the department store. Luckily, when we were about to buy her a chocolate sponge bob instead, we had passed by a toy stall and found bubbles there.

I felt glad that we had bought her bubbles. I will really be unhappy if we had disappointed her. You will see in a child's eyes their true feelings.

As we arrived home, Stephanie is very excited on making bubbles right away. She asked my angel to open it for her. And here's what happened next...

My sister and Stephanie

Me and My Sister (She's older right? Though it may seem the other way around *argh*)

At our "kubo". My angel blow that bubble :D

My angel ran after the bubbles to take a picture of it.
