Girls Day Out: Dinner

Yesterday, me, my sister, and my cousin had our 'Girls Day Out' at Trinoma. Well, I prefer to share the fun we have in chops, so I had here, 'Girls Day Out: Dinner'.

We had our supposedly snack that turned out to be dinner at Cafe Via Mare inside Landmark. My sister starved and craved for goto. My cousin Irish felt hungry. But me, I still feel full with what we ate for lunch (which I have to blog on another post). So there, we have our dinner, but I don't eat rice (feel pity on me, ha ha).

We ordered lugaw toppings, ginataang hipon, and ensaladang bagnet. Also, we ordered their summer shooters (three little glasses of halo-halo, mais con yelo, and ginataang hilaw) to give it a try. Here are the pictures that we had.

My sister and Chris Tiu (her addiction)

My newly bought hankies, Sponge Bob and Minnie Mouse.

My dear sister (wearing my blouse, ha ha), and our food.

Looks yummy!

Okay, I'm sad because the glass that I get does not taste good. It's the ginataang hilaw. My mother's version is more delicious. While Irish got the best glass, the halo-halo.

Care To Chat?

During my first few days at work, around 5 years ago, I still don’t have anything to do. With that, I joined some chat rooms to get away from boredom. I was just there for friendship, and to share thoughts in my mind, with almost anything under the sun. I’m not there for anything nasty. I could say that for that short span of time, I get addicted to the online world. I build friendships. Also, I gain some knowledge by merely sharing thoughts with each chat room. But those were the days that gone by. I got no time for those now, probably because, I got the chance to enter a chat room that are offensive and unpleasant.

Now, I had discovered these interesting christian chat rooms. Well, I guess those chat rooms will not simply bring me friendships. I believe this will strengthen my faith as well. Even though I studied from schools that had thought me about faith, having talked with someone else, sharing ideas, and real life experiences is another story. Anyway, real life experience is of greater meaning rather than pure theories right?

I guess if time permits, and if I’m no longer busy with work; or when a day comes that I got real bored, I would really enter christian chat rooms in order to, once again, build friendship, and build deeper faith. Would you come join me and care to chat?

I Love Kerby Raymundo

I really have to sleep now, I have a date with my sister and my cousin later (later 'coz it's already Saturday, it's 12mn). But the joy brought to me by my sponge bob is overflowing that I wanted to post this one right away.

Earlier, I watched the knock out game between Purefoods TJ Giants (PF) and Talk N' Text Tropang Texters (TNT). The first half is James Yap's half. PF had led as much as 12 points. However, TNT got the strength to come back before the half ends.

I really get thrilled with the thought that PF will really win this game. But, as Marquin Chandler is called for his 5th personal foul, I got a little worried. Then I remember the triumph of PF against Rain or Shine Elasto Painters (RoS) even with Brian Hamilton being ejected from the game. I know they can make it. Why not? Kerby Raymundo who showcased an import-like play is here to save the game.

Alvin Patrimonio and Marquin Chandler at BDO

In the last 2.4 seconds (I'm not so sure) of the pay off period, I almost lose hope. James Yap is not 100% for he is suffering from fever(?). But Raymundo's 3 point shot and 1 extended the game for 5 minutes more. I can feel Raymundo's heart shouting for joy then. He could have win the game right away if he had made the free throw (the only FT he missed). But I guess, it's not yet time.

Just when TNT had already been rejoicing with the back-to-back-to-back 3 pointers of Renren Ritualo, PF shows how badly they wanted to win. And another 5 minute extension necessitates to determine the winner of the ballgame.

And yes, it is another sorry loss for TNT. In their last 4 games (TNT vs PF), PF always won the game by breaking TNT's heart. TNT almost always win the game, but PF always grab the ballgame.

I had my fingers crossed while praying that PF win this game. Otherwise, I would say goodbye to PBA as early as now. And God never let me down. PF wins the game 126-123 after the 2nd overtime. I felt the joy of the team as they hugged each other after the game (almost like championship spirit then). Again, PF had broken a record in history. A trivia was mentioned that the previous conference finalists always reached up to the quarter finals on the following conference. But not this time. PF had broken that history.

Obviously, Raymundo is the best player of the game with 33 big points, 10 rebounds, and 9/10 from the FT line. And what makes me love Raymundo more? In every statement he made in his interview, he would always say 'Thank You Lord!'

I simply love KR#5. Hope to see you in the championship!

CarSteering

I don’t know how to drive. And I think I won’t learn how since I am too scared. That’s why I envy those who really know how to drive, and are really good in driving. I guess that’s just not my field. If you’re one of those drivers, you’re so lucky. But, I got a question, how is your steering control? Do you maintain your car religiously? Well, if you are in need of affordable steering rack and steering box, I would recommend CarSteering site. They are the best in steering for about 15 years now. Moreover, whatever make or model you need, they got the stock ready to be shipped for free. Isn’t it great? How about a complete warranty for full customer satisfaction? Give it a drive!

I'm Angry But I Still Love You

Hmmm... when I become emotional, I can't contain my feelings. But since I'm not that vocal, I remain silent. Thoughts are running, rather playing, on my mind. Still, I'm wordless. I can't speak. For when I utter a word, I'll surely break down and cry.

I'm afraid to get angry, specially to the persons I love. Probably because, my love for them is more powerful than the pain I'm feeling. I guess, I just don't want to lose the persons I love.

Though, sometimes, I felt that it's okay to be mad, to be angry. In that way, I can prove how much important am I to that person. If I found out that I'm not, then, its a blessing in disguise for me. I would no longer waste my time loving and hurting myself for that person over and over.

But still, at the end of the day. Love conquers all.

Convert Your Car Title to Cash

When I was still studying, my mother would normally go to pawnshops to pawn her jewelries, in order to have something to spend. Our life was a little tight then. We only have our jeepney to sustain our daily needs. While my father is at one with God before I graduated high school. It’s a tough life for us way back. Some of the jewelries of my mother stayed at the pawnshop for a longer time. Some, we were unable to gain back. But, those were just memories of the past; we are now cherishing a much easy life.

Little do I know that aside from jewelries, we can now actually acquire money with your car title? Interesting enough, if the vehicle you own costs $5,000.00 (wholesale), you can apply for Car Title Loans and get your cash in just an hour. Amazing isn’t it? Even if you have a bad credit record, you can still get approved instantly. But, unlike pawnshops, you can still actually drive your car and have your cash at the same time. So, if you are really in need of cash to pay something else but is on a tight budget, you might want to try applying for Car Title Loans. Lucky are those who live where this type of loan is available. There were available Car Title Loans Hayward and Car Title Loans Sacramento. So, you guys who live there, cash are readily available.

My Treat

Normally, it was almost always my angel who pay the bills when we eat out. But last night, it's my treat. I had this extra earnings from my sideline (no, not from blogging, but from programming, shhhh...). Well, its not that much, but still, I want to treat my angel.

I gave him the liberty to choose on where we should eat. Our first choice then was Giligan's. Sadly, the place where they would want us to be seated had some water droplets from the ceiling. We asked if we could just move to the other table since they were all vacant. But the sarcastic crew won't let us and said that it was intended for a group of six (6). Fine!!! We left the place then, and find some other restaurant to dine in.

Then, since we haven't eat at Pancake House together, we decided to eat there. Of course, picture taking is a must (using his Nikon D60)! Here, I'm sharing with you the mouth watering dinner we had. Happy eating!

While waiting for the food to be served.

Phantom: The Las Vegas Spectacular

Have you seen Wanders show at PAGCOR? I haven’t seen it yet, but, I already witnessed The Flow. My former boss told me that if I enjoyed watching it, I will enjoy Wanders much better. Well, I just love seeing Broadway shows. I believe it is more appealing than movies. Unlike movies, you can have retakes. In Broadway shows, there’s no room for errors. If there is, at least you should ensure that the audience won’t notice it.

The well-known place for this kind of shows is no other than Las Vegas. Well, aside from casinos, the next thing that comes to one’s mind when hearing that place is Broadway Shows. Thus, if you happen to visit that place, your travel is incomplete without watching one. If I may suggest, you might want to try seeing The Phantom of the Opera. It is the longest running show hit. That’s why it received the name of The Las Vegas Spectacular. If you already watched that show, you can see several show choices at Shows Las Vegas. They feature the most spectacular shows and events in Vegas. They also include detailed descriptions and photo gallery of each show. Once decided, you can as well avail Tickets to Las Vegas Shows from the same site. Then, you already have the chance to enjoy the show.

My Mickey Mouse Collection

I hardly remember the time I started collecting Mickey Mouse stuffs. But it is definitely influenced by my favorite PBA player, Chris Pacana. To my avid readers, I bet you already know why. Well, I also like Garfield, as I relate it to Chico Lanete; and Sponge Bob to Kerby Raymundo. Don't ask me why, I just wanted to, ha ha ha. Anyways, since I got the hobby of collecting stuffs, I got overwhelmed that I already had a bunch of them. I have Mickey or Minnie Mouse slippers, seat cover, keychains, watch, ID/Cellphone lace, place mat, blanket, pillow, stuff toys, handkerchiefs, and a whole lot more. Some I bought, while some I receive as presents.

My Mickey Mouse Collection including Stephanie, ha ha. I haven't taken shot of all of my collections, these are only a few of them.

Well, I am also starting to collect Sponge Bob stuffs. I bought this one last Sunday. I really searched for this at the mall, ha ha.

Sponge Bob Hanky, he's a little shy :P

I am also trying to look for Garfield stuffs. I saw one from the Gift Factory at TriNoMa that costs PhP 350. I would want to buy it when there's a special ocassion, a gift for myself, he he.

Well, I guess collecting stuffs provides comfort, at least for me. It's a nice feeling to know that you've got your own collection. But, while others who are fond of collecting simply store their stuffs on cabinets, I am different. I don't store them for display, I use them.

Sleeping with Mickey. The stuff toy is my fave li'l sis' present on my birthday. The blanket was bought by my mother for me. My Mother took this picture, and NO, I'm not asleep yet, I'm just pretending, ha ha.

Mixed Emotions

Yesterday, I'm not in the mood to smile. I give a couple, but that's a fake one. I don't know. Probably, there will always be a time in our lives when we feel like crying. Well, anyway, crying is good to make our hearts tender right?

I am a person who always starts the conversation. I don't want dull, silent moments. But yesterday, I got tired of doing so. I just remain silent. A lady of no words.

Luckily, I ended my day with my angel. We dine in at Krispy Kreme, Trinoma. We availed of our free Chocolate Karnival. Another realization that the best things in life are free. *wink*

There will always be something to smile about Ü

Is Your Home Safe?

Is your home safe? Can you sleep soundly each night without any fear that someone might broke in your house? Nowadays, it is a must that we keep our home safe from any danger. Our home should be a place where safety resides.

I remember late last year, my brother needs to work afar from us. And since he is the only male living in our home, there’s a feeling of uneasiness on my part each night. Even though we lived with our relatives as our neighbors, I still can’t be calm or be assured that nothing’s going to happen.

With that fear, my mother always has a steel bar beside her just in case someone will break in our house. But I guess that should be our last resort. We should be making our home secured by installing some protection in the entry points of our home. With the boom of technology nowadays, these protective gadgets are readily available, even online. May it be a wireless security system or not. With these gadgets installed, sleeping soundly would never be a problem; even my brother is away from home.

If you would want to protect your home, you might want to try and visit GE Home Security. You can purchase from their choice of packages. For a home of 3 entry points, you can avail of their Copper Package for FREE! You only have to pay $29.95 per month for the monitoring. This package includes the following:

  • Talking Control Panel
  • 1 Motion Detector
  • 3 Entry Points
  • Internal Siren and Door Chime
  • Battery Backup
  • 3 Window Decals
  • 1 Yard Sign
So, call 877-470-2751 now. Not only can you sleep soundly in your protected house, you can also receive 2 keychain remotes with your order.

Food Trip at Little Quiapo

I had a lot of things to blog about, thus, I am making my blog post backwards. Please bear with me.

Last May 13, me and my office mates had our food trip at Little Quiapo. It is just a tricycle ride away from our office. And the food there is really good, specially the sinigang na baboy.

Too bad, I was not able to take a picture of what we had for lunch. We ordered sinigang na baboy and pinalutong na bangus. Well, it is our practice not to order any drinks since it is expensive, ha ha. For a group of four, we had around PhP 600 and a full stomach.

Here's the only picture that I could share with you. Next time, I'll make sure that I had taken shots with the food, promise :)

Scrubs: The Nurse's Guide to Good Living

Scrubs is an online magazine that is built to help guide the nurses to live their life as ordinary as possible. As I browse through their site, I find interesting topics that is very beneficial to the nurses and would-be nurses as well. I know being a nurse is not that easy, probably that’s why I never intended to be one. That’s why I salute all the nurses in the world, for their chosen field requires great sacrifices. With this online magazine, nurses would definitely find their field of endeavor as very interesting and worthy one. This serves as a guide to the nursing students, to the nursing graduates, and to the registered nurses. I knew three (3) persons that are in this field: Chum, the nursing student; Ian, the nursing graduate; and Rhoane, the registered nurse. They are my online friends.

From the site, I find The Scrubbies application where I could nominate my nurse friends and give them certificates. And with this, I’ll take the opportunity to give the Future Charge Nurse Award to Rhoane. Well, I guess I have to give the other two (2) once they already passed their board exams. Here’s a screen shot of the certificate:

My Scrubby

Another interesting application from the site is their nursing poll, where your opinion speaks. From the polls, I selected the love section, where the poll asks you to complete this sentence: I wish I had more time for (family, friends, cultivating new relationships, faith, hobbies). Well, definitely my answer would be family. I knew nurses had to sacrifice special occasions such as birthdays and special holidays away from their family, for they have to be on duty. And I guess that’s something they would really long for. And my guess is right. Family scored 67% in this poll. That’s why I really am proud of the nurses all over the world. And Scrubs would really help these modern day heroes in making their life more manageable.

Gadget-holic: New Nikon D60

In my post about My Angel, I described the love of my life as gadget-holic. Well, at least he accepted that fact. Last May 1, we headed to Hidalgo to purchase a new Nikon D60 SLR (his new addiction). I even remember how much laughter I had whenever he sings "You are so beautiful to me, can't you see, you're everything I hope for, you're everything I need" to every Nikon SLR we would pass by at the mall.

We bought his camera at Henry's for PhP 27,000 with a free generic camera bag and 2GB SD (Toshiba). It is PhP 9,000 lower than those sold at malls. Only, this one has 1 year store warranty. Those that are sold at malls have 2 years columbia warranty.

After buying this gadget, we had our dinner at Burgoo, Gateway, Cubao. We were very excited of this new camera, thus, we give it a try right away.

And of course, I had my pictorial, hee hee.
