When it's time, am I ready? Or shall I be overly worried of the things and persons that I have to leave behind? My answer, if not proudly, is timidly YES! I lack confidence in saying YES because I am not emotionally ready yet. But financially, I could loudly say YES!It is exactly 2 years last July 21, 2009 of the insurance that I had purchased. I had bought it simply because I would want to attain financial security. Here's what I have in mind:
I had been giving around half of my salary to my mother every pay day for our daily expenses plus a thousand for my savings. The rest would be for my daily expenses, and sometimes, luxury. BUT, if ever God would have wanted me to join him that early; or if God would have wanted me to stay at home, where am I going to get all those money for our daily expenses? Hence, I had purchased an insurance to cover everything up for me once I won’t be able to sustain my financial obligations.
I thought it would be hard for me to pay for my insurance, but being so thrift (eating on a less expensive fast food but of healthy servings, staying home for a date rather than tirelessly wandering around the malls, buying only when needed rather than when wanted, and a whole lot more), I was able to pay my bills on time. Not to mention the extra earnings I got from blogging (where I already earned PhP15,000.00) and from my mini sari-sari store (only a month old).
As for emergency, I could always count on my passbook that had been fed a thousand per pay day and from my coin bank. How about you? Are you ready?

isa kang mabuting ehemplo, mare. kaya nga lagi akong dumadapo dito sa blog mo para naman mahawaan ako ng mga smart decisions mo sa layp. ahihihihi. dapat mag-invest ka na rin! that's one step ahead of saving. :)

i'm proud of you sistah! galing mong magipon. ako din dati kumuha ako ng insurance kaso naubos nung fully paid na, kc ginamit ko ng sa di inaasahang maospital ako ...na operahan ako dati so half ng bill eh pinambayad ko un nakuha ko sa insurance ko waaaah! =(

gosh i hope i can say the same thing. hehe. all of our savings are all invested in our hardware store. sabi ko nga sa asawa ko kapag wala na kaming makain, kikitkitin na lang naman ang mga pako at martilyong tinda namin. :)

@marvin, mareee, gusto ko nga mag-invest pa eh. sa ngayon, mini sari-sari store muna, sana eh lumago at maging grocery. Ako rin madalas sa blog mo, kasi, naaaliw ako. At feel kong nagkukwentuhan lang tayo :D
