Just last Saturday, June 7, 2008, me and my mahal applied for the Php990 plan of Sun Cellular. This plan includes 3 free phones that are all pre-enrolled to the network's unlimited call and text promo. The package includes shared 750 free text to other networks. The said plan is within a 30-month contract but you have the option to pay Php999 (Php333 for each phone) to make the phone tied to only 24 months.
For me, this is a sound decision. It would cut my prepaid load spendings to almost half. I have been a Globe subsciber before, and I religiously enrol to their unlimited text (unli80, 80 pesos, 5 days) offer costing (80*(30/5)) = 480 pesos per month. And the service is only limited to text messaging.
Now, with my new phone and the package that accompanies it, I only have to pay 333 pesos per month (that saves me 147 pesos per month). And puff, I can call and text my mahal all day all night. Not to mention the free text to other network that means 8 text messages per day.
No need to problem the network traffic and the deadspot, as for my location. Living in Bulacan and working in Quezon City, I haven't experience those irritating problems yet. I am still enjoying, and hopefully enjoy the convenience for the next couple of years. :)
